Legacy Standard Loc Extensions are  handmade using 100% afro kinky human hair 4a-4b hair texture. Legacy Standard Loc Extensions are soft, lightweight, and blends perfectly with 3b-4z hair type. 

Please note that the thickness your natural hair plays a factor in how many locs you would require. Below you'll see average amounts needed to give you a complete head of locs.

How to customize loc color:

To customize the color of your locs please select [Custom Color] in color menu. Please make sure to include a note upon checkout specifying what color you'd like. Not including a note  will delay order process.

How to add note to order upon checkout:

After you select quantity of bundles and proceed to next page checkout,  please scroll down and you'll see the option to add note to order and click agree to terms and conditions. 

To order more than 1 bundle, select the number of bundles you would like in the section that says (Quantity) located above.
For example:
If you select the quantity of 1 of the 100 loc bundle, you will be placing an order for 100 locs.
If you select the quantity of 2 of the 100 loc bundle, you will be placing an order for 200 locs.

How many locs come in one bundle?

All locs are sold 10 locs per bundle.

For Example:

1 Bundle= 10 Locs         

2 Bundles=20 Locs       

3 Bundles=30 Locs

10 Bundles=100 Locs

12 Bundles=120 Locs   

14 Bundles=140 Locs   

20 Bunldes=200 Locs

What are the loc extension measurements in diameter?

Legacy Loc extensions are measured in centimeters

Standard, Standard Coil Tip, Interlocked, Interlocked Coil Tip, Deep Wave Locs share the same width diameter as below:

Why are Textured,Fusion,Goddess locs diameter different than standard & Interlock extensions?

Textured, Fusion, Goddess  are handcrafted using a different crochet technique, making the diameter of the locs to be slightly thicker than our other loc styles.

How do I choose the quantity of bundles I would like to purchase?

When you select your quantity upon checkout, you are selecting the number of bundles you would like.

For example:
If you select the quantity of 1, you will be placing an order for 1 bundle= 10 locs.

select a quantity of 3, you will be placing an order for 3 bundles=30 locs.

How many loc extensions will I need to complete a full head of locs?

Please note that the thickness your natural hair plays a factor in how many locs you would require. These are the average amounts needed to give you a complete head of locs.

How to figure out the quantity of loc extensions I would need to give me a full head of locs?

The best advice we can give you to help determine how many locs you'll need to cover your whole head, is to section your hair into individual plaits that you think will accommodate the width loc extensions you're interested in. After you finish putting you hair in single plaits, count each plait, and that will give you an idea of how many loc extensions you'll need to purchase to give you a full head oflocs.

My hair is shaved on the sides & back, how many locs will I need for a complete head of locs?

For shaved hairstyles (mohawk/ undercut/ high top fade), these are the average amounts needed to give you a complete head of locs.

Sista locs- 30-60 bundles (300-600 Locs )

Micro width locs- 7-9 bundles (70-90 Locs )

Extra small width locs- 5-6 bundles (50-60 Locs )

Small width locs- 4-7 bundles (40-70 Locs)

Smedium width locs- 4-6 bundles (40-60 Locs)

Medium locs- 3-5 bundles (30-50 Locs)

Large locs- 3-4 bundles (30-40 Locs)

What lengths can you make legacy loc extensions?

Legacy Locs can be made in different lengths ranging from 6" inches - 30"inches.

How long does my natural hair have to be to install legacy loc extensions?

Our loc extensions can be installed on any hair type. For a proper installation, you need at least 3 inches of new growth.

How do you install loc extensions?

There are many different methods to installing loc extensions. The best thing to do is to consult with a local loctician who specialize in installing loc extensions. Also, YouTube has some great tutorials on how to install loc extensions.

Can I install the loc extensions to my existing locs?

You can add legacy loc extensions to your existing locs for more length or to repair broken or thinning locs.

How can you tell the difference between human hair loc extensions & synthetic loc extensions?

The best way to determine if your loc extensions are made with human hair, you can perform a burn test.

Human hair burns slowly and gives off a strong smell similar to hair being burnt by a hot comb or flat iron. Human hair will burn into ash balls and crumble between your fingers.

Synthetic hair will burn out quickly, and give off black smoke. Synthetic hair burns into a ball and hardens when cool. Synthetic hair has a off putting smell of burning plastic.

Does legacy loc extensions go through budding stage just like natural grown starter locs?

Yes, Please be mindful that even though the extensions are crochet to resemble mature dreadlocs, the extensions are not mature internally. It takes time for the extensions to mature internal & external just like natural starter locs. After being washed & conditioned the extensions will slightly swell just as natural locs would, so no need to worry,  the extensions will still remain intact. For the first couple of months please do not handle extensions aggressively when wet, this may weaken the extensions over time.
